Open Access Policy

JAMSOR is published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). Under this license, authors retain copyright while allowing anyone to download, reuse, reprint, modify, and distribute their contribution, provided the original work is properly attributed. No further permission from the author or the journal is required to reuse published content in this way.

This policy conforms to the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition of open access.

Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) Compliance

JAMSOR fully adheres to the definition of open access as outlined in the Budapest Open Access Initiative. According to the BOAI, open access means:

"Free availability on the public internet, permitting any users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those inseparable from gaining access to the internet itself."

JAMSOR imposes no subscription fees, no access charges, and no embargo periods. All articles are published immediately upon acceptance and are freely accessible to the global research community.

Publication Frequency

JAMSOR publishes four issues per year (halfly), beginning with Volume 1 in 2026.

  • Issue 1: January – June
  • Issue 2: July – December

Special issues and supplementary volumes may be published in addition to the regular quarterly schedule at the discretion of the editorial board.

Digital Archiving and Preservation

JAMSOR is committed to the long-term digital preservation of all published content. The journal utilizes the following archiving and preservation strategies:

  • All articles are assigned persistent identifiers (DOI) through Crossref.
  • Content is deposited with the CLOCKSS and Portico digital preservation systems.
  • Full-text articles are indexed and archived in Google Scholar and other major discovery services.
  • Backup copies are maintained on multiple secure servers to ensure continuous accessibility.

Article Processing Charges (APCs)

JAMSOR charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) of 170 USD for each accepted manuscript. This charge covers the costs associated with the open access publishing process.

Important notes:

  • The APC is payable only after a manuscript is accepted for publication.
  • There is no submission fee or review fee.
  • Authors from low- and middle-income countries may be eligible for a full or partial waiver. Requests for waivers should be submitted at the time of manuscript acceptance.
  • The APC does not affect the editorial decision; all submissions undergo the same rigorous peer-review process regardless of ability to pay.

Commitment to Open Access: JAMSOR is dedicated to removing barriers to knowledge sharing and promoting the widest possible dissemination of scholarly research. Our open access policy ensures that high-quality management and organizational research is freely available to everyone, everywhere.
