Peer Review Process

JAMSOR employs a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, validity, and integrity of published research. In double-blind review, the identities of both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the evaluation process.

Reviewer Selection

Reviewers are selected based on their expertise in the manuscript's subject area, prior publication record, and experience with scholarly review. The journal maintains a database of qualified reviewers and also welcomes author-suggested reviewers (subject to editorial verification and approval).

Reviewer Evaluation Criteria

Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on:

  • Originality and novelty of the research
  • Relevance to the journal's aim and scope
  • Methodological rigor and appropriateness
  • Clarity of presentation and structure
  • Accuracy of data analysis and interpretation
  • Contribution to theory and practice
  • Quality and currency of literature review
  • Ethical soundness

Reviewer Recommendations

  • Accept: Manuscript is suitable for publication without major changes.
  • Minor Revision: Manuscript requires minor changes before acceptance.
  • Major Revision: Substantial changes required; manuscript will undergo re-review.
  • Reject: Manuscript does not meet journal standards or scope.

Overall Timeline

The average time from submission to first decision is 21 days. The average time from submission to publication is 45–60 days, depending on revision requirements.

Appeals Process

Authors who disagree with an editorial decision may submit a formal appeal. Appeals should provide clear justification and address reviewer comments. The appeal will be reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief, and the final decision will be communicated within 14 days.

Commitment to Quality: JAMSOR is committed to transparent, fair, and timely peer review. All reviewers are required to declare conflicts of interest and adhere to ethical guidelines.
